Various shades of blue are generated by the brightness of the northern twilight reflecting off the snow. This landscape captured along the great St. Lawrence River shows the drift of ice towards the sea, a phenomenon that occurs every spring in the Quebec region. Flakes have been integrated to enhance the texture of the work illustrating the roughness of the blocks of ice formed during the winter.
The work was made with a spatula and brush, the surface is varnished and the back is provided with a metal wire for hanging.
