It is a spot on Little River in Georgia, USA. Painted on location, not at first light, but early in the day. I've painted in this area a number of times over the years. It's near the ruins of the old Cherokee Rope Mill.
A steamy hot summer day in Georgia. I made another painting from almost the same spot the day after, but later in the day. The colors are so different just a few hours later. This is one of the challenges of landscape painting, that the light changes so rapidly as the day goes on. You can also find that painting in my gallery here on artfinder.
Measures 8 x 10 inches on stretched canvas. The sides are painted black as shown. This painting will be shipped to you unframed.
