This is a gouache painting created in an abstracted stylised manner inspired with sea waves.
It is a continuation of my series Sea Waves which contains black ink and coloured ink drawings and gouache paintings.
Like the paintings Sea and Sky I, II, III and IV has strong emphasis on colour and pattern.
It is painted with gouache colours on quality thick watercolour paper. Gouache technique is one of my favourite because the colours from different layers slightly mix together which results in rich and interesting colour shades.
