It's hard to find anyone who doesn't know the taste of plums. Many people like the way they taste. Take me for example, I love all kinds of plums: freshly picked, dried, jam or marmalade. Artists often use plums in their fruit still lifes. I couldn't resist trying to paint one. In this painting you can see the plums lying freely on the wooden board. One of the plums is cut open and judging by the light yellow flesh, these plums are ripe.
The still life is realistically painted with oil pastels. The pastel is fixed in a special way on cardboard and varnished with lacquer.
