I always associate pomegranate with love. I love tearing open the ripe pomegranate peel to reveal the brightly coloured transparent fruit or berries.
And it doesn't matter whether the pomegranate is ripe and sweet or tastes sour. It's still beautiful.
I recently sold a painting with the same subject matter. But I haven't lost my memory, and I'm exhibiting another artwork now. I wanted to repeat that image. So I painted a new picture in acrylic on paper, using my sketch. I purposely did not change anything in the layout or colour. I observed the similarities and differences in the same picture when painting with different techniques.
