Original artwork description:

One of a set of 12 portraits completed as part of my Devon Farmers project.
This portrait of Justin (and Dash the dog) shows him holding a couple of jugs of his award winning cider, produced on his farm.
I spent a wonderful summer visiting and spending time with farmers across Devon photographing them at work.
Back at the studio the paintings were done on a white background as the intention was to add text to produce images inspired by the “Golden Age” American illustrators such as J.C. Leyendecker and Norman Rockwell.
The full set was used to create a calendar, and cards and prints which are available on my other sites.
All the portraits were painted in oil on canvas.
