Inspired by Life of Pi, this painting depicts the animal within during times of peace. The cleverly woven story of Pi with its multiple meanings led us to exotic and sometimes forbidden places that humans rarely see. Most of us will never meet our Richard Parker, so he (or she) will remain in a distant place, placidly resting--awakening only to the direst need. May all who have had to awaken their tiger to survive find a way to return him to peaceful rest in that exotic place far away.
