Rhapsody is part of a series of small paintings with a musical theme, this one acquiring its name due to the upbeat emotion I felt in the process of making it and the joyous result. I have used oil paints mixed with cold wax medium along with other mixed media. The wax medium adds texture and translucency to the paint so that multiple layers can be added revealing small parts of previous layers. A sense of history and snippets of its development is compiled. It is framed in a grey-white wooden box frame and is ready to hang.
