Mrs Peacock from the series Cluedo
Medium edition of 7 + 2AP Certificate of Authenticity included.
50.8cm x 61cm including 1-2cm white border on all sides for easy mounting and handling.

Cluedo is a series of images that explores the fragility and value of life. Not only how society values life but how we can value our own lives at different points.
Inspired by William Blake’s poem The Fly, this piece flips the characters role in the board game Cluedo on its head, the living (the suspects in Cluedo) are the dead in this se-ries, “My thoughtless hand has brushed away” William Blake.
The series juxtaposes the beauty of life and the seduction of aesthetics with death scenes, flipping the mind between one and the other in a blink of an eye, just as life can become death.

Little Fly,
Thy summer's play
My thoughtless hand
Has brushed away.

Am not I
A fly like thee?
Or art not thou
A man like me?

For I dance
And drink, and sing,
Till some blind hand
Shall brush my wing.

If thought is life
And strength and breath
And the want
Of thought is death;

Then am I
A happy fly,
If I live,
Or if I die.

William Blake
