Original artwork description:

When I create one of these interiors I am leaving clues about the person - generally offstage - who occupies the space. Here we see a chest of drawers with a man's hat on the surface. A walking stick with a duck's head leans against it. Has the owner of these items just returned from a walk? Is that his red scarf tossed carelessly in the drawer? The painting of a sailboat on his wall suggests an appreciation for outdoors.

The wallpaper is Cockerell marbled paper. Cockerell Bindery was a British company which (I believe) went out of business in 1989; and I was fortunate enough to have this piece of their work left in my paper collection. So distinctive! The feather in the hat came from my own yellow ring neck, Lemondrop, whom I miss to this day.

The picture is made of archival glues, boards and papers. It will come matted and ready to frame. The outside dimensions are 17" x 18".

Materials used:

Hand made papers, wood veneer paper, marbled paper, glue, museum board
