Original artwork description:

Experimenting outside my comfort zone in art, I took a different path with Resilient Terrain and oil paints. Applying paint with bold strokes of a large palette knife produced a rugged, textured, fresh and spontaneous effect I found truly enjoyable. A well known, master painter encouraged me to attempt this project. We were both pleased with the result.
Taking my beloved landscapes in a new direction brought out the boldness of the mountains in the northwest, near my home.
