And boy did I struggle with this one. I struggled and struggled until I wiped off the whole thing and took a break. I went for a walk and re-evaluated the idea. Was it worth pursuing? Was it really a good idea? My instinct told me it was. So I re-evaluated the composition. I initially had the setup a bit lower so that I was looking down on it more. I changed it to a higher viewpoint and felt like I could try it again. I worked very carefully this time, squinting a lot to look at shadow and light areas and finally managed to pull it off. So here is my work of art :). This beautiful rose stuck with me and did not wither away through my entire day of struggle. Hence the name.
