Original artwork description:

Antibes. Oil Painting on Canvas. 16" x 20". 40.6 x 50.8 cm. Unframed. Ready to hang. Painted edges. AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE PURCHASE. 100% HAND MADE. NOT A PRINT!

This painting was inspired by ‘Antibes, Afternoon Effect' (1888) by Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926). He was famed for his bold brush strokes and bright colors which expressed emotion and added a feeling of movement to his works. He worked with a great sense of urgency, and I hope I managed to express this in my painting.

I have recreated this beautiful Claude Monet piece by hand so you can enjoy it in your own home. Display it in your own house or office to brighten up any room. It will make a great gift, too.

The materials I use, including canvases, paints and mediums are permanent and of professional quality. As far as only lightfast pigments are employed in those paints formulation, the colors will not fade, and my paintings will keep their original tones and brightness for 70-100 years.

This painting comes unframed. I leave the choice of frame for you to decide based on your interior and personal taste.

Materials used:

Professional quality oil. Regular mounted ¾" canvases primed with top-quality gesso, mounted on a wood stretcher frame and stapled on the back.
