I take early morning walks along Alameda Creek in Fremont California, and an adjacent regional park, Quarry Lakes almost every day. I observe a lot of wildlife in the early morning hours when they are most active. Waterfowl such as egrets, Canada geese, ducks, herons, grebes, buffleheads, and other birds are part of the community. I also see a lot of rabbits running down the trail before finally disappearing in the brush. I love watching their habits, and take lots of pictures on my iPhone during my walks.
I walk past an informational kiosk along one of the trails in Quarry Lakes Regional Park during early morning hours, when sometimes I've been rewarded with a beautiful sunrise as a backdrop. This is a limited edition print, the image is carved onto a linoleum block, then hand printed with black ink on a beautiful handmade paper called Masa Dosa, on my etching press. The image is 10.25 by 9.75 inches. The outer dimensions of the paper are 17 x 16 inches. Each print is signed by the artist, numbered and is an original piece of art.
Each one is unique; the printing varies slightly, which is inherent in hand pulled linocuts.
