Two horses waiting. The riders, are they inside? Why do they meet in the moonlight? Or is it just a hot lazy day? Sometimes I just have images in my mind that resemble frozen scenes from a movie. They are like fractions of a story, but there is no beginning or an end. It's up to the viewer to judge the situation, the context, the story, to use your imagination.
This painting started as an abstract work with different kinds of paper glued onto a canvas. After it was finished I glued the canvas onto hardboard with a wooden framework to keep it tight. The sides are painted a soft gray. I wired the back so it's reafy to hang.
Collage with glued thin and thick paper on canvas, hardboard, acrylic- and oilpaints
