Inspiration

This collage painting was created in response to the world around me during the corona virus pandemic.

During this time I was consumed by what was happening in the news, everything was constantly changing so quickly from day to day. The struggles of people dealing with the causalities of the virus, the politics surrounding this and the dividing consequences of this situation.

It was difficult to keep up with all the changes. How could I tell what is truth, so many varying opinions, I had to open my mind to research things for my self and I still am.

This time realy got me thinking about the world I am living in. I re-assed why things are the way they are, traditions created a normal that had been unchanged. The more I lean about the world the more my perception of the world changes.

Times are chaotic, I can be blind to what is happening or I can keep on learning and open my mind to new possibilities.

The newspaper represents the current state of the society, the ducks on top symbolise distracting the eye away from what is going on. The paint and circle ontop symbolises crossing space, a re-birth, a way of seeing and experiencing.

The chaos is devastating, however out of this will will we enter a new and better world?
