Artwork description:

This ten colour screen-print conjures a memory of sunnier times. A garden bench is a perfect spot for a cup of tea, observing nature and contemplation.

Each colour is a different screen and printed one over the other to build up layers. As some of the colours are transparent they make new ones when they overlap.

I wanted to make a piece that reminded me of a brighter colourful time.

printmaking inks on Somerset printmaking paper
