This painting began as a collage of watercolor pieces on canvas. One of the collage pieces is an excerpt from Scripture, from John 14:18, which says, "I will not leave you orphans, says the Lord. I will come back to you, and your hearts will rejoice." To support the joyous theme, a high chroma palette of blue, green and yellow was used, with an accent of red. The painting has been varnished for protection, and hanging hardware is already installed.
