Scottish landscape of Reiss Beach in Caithness, is a small contemporary painting of a long sandy beach with high dunes facing the North Sea, off the east coast of Scotland, near to John O'Groats. Painted on a lightly textured canvas in a semi abstract impressionist style, in blues and orange colours.
In this small simple study I have tried to portray the moody atmosphere of a windy day along this remote coastline of the Scottish highlands.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
