For nearly 140 years, this magic shop in Barcelona has been charming children and adults with its illusions. Its rich, animated, modernista facade charmed me to create this original textiles piece.

Rei de la Màgia is part of a series or artworks I have created of Barcelona Modernista architecture - Catalan Art Nouveau.

Intricately stitched with different tones of blue thread and detailed with translucent papers and acrylic paint. It is created on a base of cotton calico fabric and stretched over a wooden panel.

Please note that the colours you see on your monitor may differ slightly from the colour of the original artwork.
