The inspiration here is comfort and solitude, and again, a beautiful photographic rendition of those changed into a composition and rendered in oils. I love this kind of work. And I love the idea of escape and quiet that it brings. I can almost feel myself sitting down on the edge of that boardwalk, or deck, and lifting that old glass mug and sipping on the hot liquid, the air steamy around my face on a cool and damp day.
