I decided to paint something about love. A lot of subject right now is depressing, wildlife being killed, poisoned, climate change, extinctions.. Human encroachment, greed spoiling the adventure and beauty I've enjoyed portraying a lot of the time. Some of my artworks were too political of late and highlight all the hell in the world that its made going to the easel a lot more arduous and heavier process. So when hearing a song with the lyrics
'So, tell me how to be in this world
Tell me how to breathe in and feel no hurt
Tell me how... 'cause I believe in something
I believe in us'

This was something I think would be enjoyable to soak in and appreciate and art that looked at the refuge of love as the only thing nowadays that can really make you feel good or hopeful. Romantic or otherwise, love is a reason to get up in a morning and not seek a landmine. So this is the first of a number of artworks that will try to follow on this theme and the refuge of love.
