Near the old left over viaduct on the outskirts of Sturminster Newton in North Dorset is the River Stour that flows along in a gentle way through the Blackmore Vale.
It's a wonderful place to observe reflections and Thomas Hardy rented a cottage with his wife so he could gain inspiration for his writing and poetry.This area is dismissed and most tourists and visitors go to the Dorset Jurassic coast.I find myself just like Thomas Hardy needing the peaceful secluded areas for my artistry and meaning to life.I grew up here and I'm still nearby that I feel this special place.
