There was a time in my life when I was fascinated by mannequins and the reflections of some shop windows, so I used to go around Milan, and as for my previous work ‘RIFLESSI’, published here, in which I portrayed the reflection of a shop window in via Montenapoleone, a photo that was awarded a prize by Sony in a competition that took place in 2009 in Cannes (France) and used in the UK to advertise some televisions, the shot I am presenting today took place near the Duomo, again in Milan, I was using the reflection of a shop window from which a mannequin with a beautiful red wig could be glimpsed. Done! The digital processing of this photograph of mine printed on canvas treated with enamel paint and varnish, as a result of these interventions, becomes a true gallery painting and places it in a borderline zone between painting and photography, maintaining the value of a unique piece.
