Original artwork description:

Spring sunlight always appears to be so intense and white as reflected against the dark of the fast running river with the trees' reflections creating dancing shadows on the water's surface. The drama of the light is so fleeting in nature.

I simply had to stop and do some quick pencil sketches and make comprehensive colour notes to jog my memory as to how the sun played on the water. My aim was to capture the play of light which is so fleeting in an oil painting.

On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.

Along The River Bank is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity. The frame is 85mm wide and is wooden painted white giving a grained effect with beading.
