Artwork description:

Reflections and Shadows is a one plate, multi layered reduction lino print.

I picked some roses from my garden and popped them into the nearest vase, without much thought or care. Only later did I see the contrast of the dark ceramics and glass, against the yellow of the roses. The glazed and unglazed pottery, the pale wall and dark cupboard. The shadows playing on the wall as the summer sun came through the window. I picked up my camera and took some photos, this is where many of my prints start. The challenge is then to produce a print, using only lino and inks.

A Reduction lino cut, involves inking up a single piece of lino and printing, cutting away some lino and reprinting, many times to create the final image.

This print was printed over 20 times, with many different coloured inks, there is a photo of some of its stages included.

The print approximately 30.5 cm wide by 40.5cm long and is printed onto thick Italian cotton hand torn paper which is approximately 37cm by 56 cm.

The postage and packaging fees are for up to 2 prints. If you purchase more than 2 prints I will package them together, where possible and refund excess postage costs.

For the U.K. I ship Royal Mail 1st class tracked or Special Delivery depending on the value of the package.
International orders are shipped Royal Mail International tracked.

Outside the U.K. and USA local customs/duty may be incurred. These are the responsibility of the customer and outside my control.
