This waving, dancing reed, the rustling sound… it’s magic! The Dutch landscape is such an inspiration to me. There is something mysterious about this world that can only be penetrated by birds and other animals… Can you hear the Reed Warblers, the Cuckoo?

This oil painting is made on 100% acid free 360 grams paper with 2 extra base layers of gesso and an orange underpainting. I made use of palet knife and brushes for markmaking. So there are scratches and paint blobs in the painting.

I glued the painting to a canvas so you can hang or frame it like any other canvas. It is varnished with one layer for protection against UV light.
