Re/duce is an abstract acrylics and ink painting that contrasts a textured and expressive background with minimalistic, geometric shapes in the foreground. By mixing expressive elements from painters such as Jackson Pollock with abstract shapes inspired by Russian avantgarde and Carmen Herrera a strong and balanced composition with different layers arises. Changing the distance from the painting from near to far changes the experience and perception of the painting.
