A doorway in a quarter of Jerusalem, a place known as Redemption, a place of bright, relentless, all-illuminating light, a light so bright it blinds, and a place of shadow, of corners, alleys, patches of shade. A doorway can symbolise so much. What lies behind is perhaps our choice, known only to us, our projections, the longings of our hearts, our redemption perhaps. This work is rich in light and contrast, both symbolic and realistic. A perfect gift. A wonderful addition to any collection.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
