Sometimes it's the simple things that make the most impression. This pose has a stillness, but by using a bright yellow (with a slight tint of green), a bright red outline and complementary green tones, the picture becomes alive. Whilst this looks easy to do, drawing the right line without using any form of eraser takes focus and hard observation.

Drawn in bright pastels on pastel card. The size given is the size of the image you see in the photograph.
