This is based on a sunset looking out my kitchen window. The sunsets are so amazing that I try to pause and watch it every day. It is quite a spectacle! I based this painting on a quick sketch I did - and then painted it in my studio. I have photographed a lot of these sunsets - but my photos never quite capture the brief intensity of the color. This painting comes closer!
