Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Features a close-up view of a tall bearded iris flower of the variety named "Red Skies". The red flower petals blaze in the sunlight, shot through with magenta and hot pink highlights, with deep indigo shadows. The background foliage is indicated with bright yellow-green and blue-green, and the deep indigo-purple buds of unopened flowers.

Painted in oil with iridescent and florescent oils on board.

Framed in a 2" wide wood frame with a mahogany finish which complements the colors in the flower. May be purchased unframed by request.
