Red roofed cottages hold a great fascination for me and I cannot resist painting them. This particular cottage is situated in the Outer Hebrides and has a magnificent view over the loch and the machair. It is depicted here as the sun goes down with subtle shades of pink and yellow reflected from the sky on the water. Although the painting is sold unframed the second image shows how it look in a frame.
This is one of a few paintings where I am slashing the price for a few days in order to free up studio space! Originally £225 and now slashed to £60
