An acrylic painting measuring 40 x 40 cm and painted on MDF canvas board.
'Red Poppies in a Polkadot Jug' features a cheery scene from my studio table.
Painted in layers of acrylic paint and acrylic glaze medium layers are built up and rubbed back to reveal previous layers of colour and depth. Gesso is used to achieve the subtle textures in the flowers.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint, acrylic medium glaze, gesso, charcoal.
