Original artwork description:

Pastel Drawing on archival Ampersand Pastelbord 1/8" deep. It depicts red oriental poppies by a lake in Spring. It was inspired by a scene at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I have used an impressionistic technique and some artistic license to give a sense of warm light and vibrant, brilliant red and purple blooms against the softer, serene background of willows by the water. Please note: Pastel artworks must be framed under glass or plexi-glass.
