Red Maple By The River

I was walking along the river bank one beautiful Autumn day. Across the river on the other bank there was a spectacular orange colored tree in full Fall Color. It is a "red maple." In the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, a quarter mile or so up river from the old Cherokee Rope Mill, right where a small stream comes out of the woods into the main river. Of course I had to paint it. When I got home I had to look up what kind of tree it is so I would know what to call the painting :-)
