In the UK there are still the traditional Red Phone Boxes. They are not in use anymore, however people started to use them in other ways. In my village a group of villagers, the "gorilla gardeners", have found a pretty use for them here. Flower baskets were hung on the sides! It really is improving the village, not just by the looks, but also by people's attitudes.
