The painting was painted in October, when a woman set herself on fire on the street of Nizhny Novgorod with the slogan “I ask you to blame the Russian Federation for my death”.
This infinitely powerful act drew my attention to what people have to do in order to achieve freedom.
Looking from left to right, the first thing we see is a burning woman. And above it is the artist himself, looking inside himself.
The artist admits to himself that he does not want to be silent anymore. He also needs freedom. He understands how difficult this period is for his country. This picture is the artist's first attempt to speak out on this topic.
Any dictator is just a person. It is scary to imagine how much pain a person living the life of a dictator experiences. The power format is outdated. Man has evolved enough to take responsibility for his freedom upon himself.
