The coast on New Years Day was blustery and wet but I still loved soaking up the elements! The colour of the boats in the harbour stood out against the grey sky and grey/brown sea and the seashore had an amazing curve to it where the tide had come in and left waves of shells.
I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
Mixed media collage: acrylics, paper, thread, beads, glitter
