Original artwork description:

On a snowy day, this red-bellied woodpecker visited the feeder that hangs from a pear tree on my farm. He was enjoying cracked corn, sunflower seeds and other treats.

This work is from a photograph I took in winter of 2015 on Cliff Lily Farm in Estill County, Kentucky, and was commissioned by a collector as a gift for her husband. It is gallery wrapped canvas with a satin finish that has been painted around the sides so that it can be hung unframed.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint and gallery wrapped canvas
