A small miniature Scottish landscape painting depicting a traditional red tin roofed stone barn beside a cottage in the highlands of Scotland. In Scotland these traditional buildings can still be found in the hills and glens with their traditional red or black painted tin roofs, which may even have been thatched before being covered in corrugated iron.
Painted in an impressionistic style with a unique light textured effect, I have tried to portray the atmosphere of a fairly typical dreich wet and cloudy day in the Scottish highland glens, in autumn or winter.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a square format 4 1/2"" x 4 1/2" (11.5 x 11.5cm) canvas board. UNFRAMED
