"Dante" è un'opera su tela.
Il supporto è realizzato dal Maestro Artigiano Carlo Mottola attraverso il riutilizzo di sacchi di canapa per il caffè.
Tecnica: fotografia, stampa B/N, colla e pittura acrilica.

La serie pittorica è ispirata alle visioni di una Firenze spettrale.

Dante è una reinterpretazione di una cultura esposta nel piazzale degli Uffizi.
L'opera incarna la forza del poeta rinascimentale.
Ho deciso di scegliere questo soggetto perché mi ha trasmesso una "forte pressione artistica". La città di Firenze con i secoli non è riuscita ad evolvere nuovi movimenti artistici che marcassero un segno indelebile come i maestri rinascimentali.
Nella città l'arte emergente non ha appeal: gallerie e spazi culturali non attraggano più rispetto alla storia passata.
Il "volto mastodontico" schiaccia qualunque mia sensazione di novità e mi proietta verso un universo ignoto.

The support is made by Master Craftsman Carlo Mottola through the re-use of hemp sacks for coffee.
Technique: photography, B/W print, glue and acrylic paint.

The pictorial series is inspired by visions of a spectral Florence.

Dante is a reinterpretation of a culture exhibited in the Uffizi square.
The work embodies the strength of the Renaissance poet.
I decided to choose this subject because it conveyed a 'strong artistic pressure' to me. Over the centuries, the city of Florence has failed to evolve new artistic movements that would make an indelible mark like the Renaissance masters.
Emerging art has no appeal in the city: galleries and cultural spaces do not attract any more than they did in the past.
The 'mammoth face' crushes any feeling of novelty and projects me into an unknown universe.
