"Reclining Figure" is a large abstract expressionist oil painting with real wow factor by Trixie Pitts. The palette includes many different red and pink hues including scarlet, magenta and rose. The bright palette looks different at different times of the day, becoming much warmer in the evening light, when the rose is more muted and the scarlet more pronounced. The varied brushwork and thin layers adds to the movement and depth.
