Original artwork description:

The reclining female nude is a repeating image in my current body of work. This mixed media piece brings together my exploration of colour in acrylic and soft oil pastels. I have used a life drawing to initially form a simplified composition before putting down the basic colour palette in acrylic paint (I have included photos so you can see the process). Later I have used pastels to make bold colour discord’s throughout the piece which tend to fragment the figure. Later I use linear colour to draw the piece back together again.
The final overall effect is colour discords & colour complementaries which come together to make a balanced work!

Please note this work was a study created on sugar paper for my current series. I have used high quality Spray Mount
Glue to attach it to thicker sheet of cartridge paper which is not evident when viewing the artwork from the front.

All my work is sent with a signed certificate of Authenticity and with Customs & Excise Duties paid.
