War is always reckless. She cannot be motivated by anything. But there is always hope... I finished this painting late at night 24.02.2022, a few hours before the start of the war. For several days there were rumors, feelings about the inevitability of a barbaric attack had been hovering. It was impossible to believe it, it was impossible to realize it. War is always reckless and I know this, I experienced it myself. In this piece, I sought to capture the raw, tumultuous emotions that ebb and flow like a stormy sea. The clash of red against the deep blues and greens conveys a fiery spirit wrestling with tranquility and unrest. I used bold, textured oil strokes to evoke a sense of chaos yet maintain an undercurrent of thoughtfulness. This painting symbolizes the passionate battles we all face within, stirring a vibrant, lively presence in any space it occupies.
