This Year the snowdrops have popped up incredibly early. The cinnamon aroma of Christmas still hovers around the house, but the snowdrops have appeared in the hedgerows & banks. Their cheerful nodding flowers a sign of hope of fresh life.
The appearance of these early signs of Spring are so poignant & meaningful this year of all years. It's almost as if they have come up early to cheer us up & remind us that whatever happens, life goes on & there are always new opportunities & a regeneration of life. New life, fresh green, rebirth & regeneration. Whatever goes on around us, Nature always carries on creating beautiful growth all around.
The thoughts filling my mind while laying down soft layers of delicate greens & blues were all about these cycles of Nature, which carry on regardless, whatever is going on in our human world. I find that gives me so much hope & joy & a lesson for me. Whatever is happening in the world, we do always have that opportunity to keep regenerating & recreating our own lives. We can adapt, have new ideas & new ways of living with whatever life puts in our path... if we want to.
I focus my mind on those thoughts of renewing my ideas & how I approach this new year. Things are very uncertain all around, we haven't managed to emerge from the Covid situation & now the chaos & stupidity of Brexit has everyone in a spin. But i refuse to let those external things touch me & instead I'll take Nature as an inspiration & come up with a fresh new way of moving forward. Life carries on & we can choose new ways of being & thinking to g enerate Spring energy into our lives.
