Original artwork description:

Two flamingos juxtaposed with their own skeletons, reflected in the water. A meditation on the cycle of life, death, and eternal change. Flamingos were the inspiration for the legendary phoenix, endlessly reborn from its own ashes.

One of my 'Memento Mori' cycle of works.

This work is a mixture of acrylic paint and coloured pencil on black card. The background is shaded with charcoal which gives a textured effect - it doesn't show up well in the photos :)

The original is around 39x39 cm.

Limited edition prints (sold separately) are 50x50 cm total paper size including a white border, the actual image size being around 44x44 cm. Print is numbered and signed on the border.
