This drawing is a portrait of a Rebel Child and was created in 2011 exploring the children who are kidnapped by Rebel Leaders and indoctrinated into fighting for a cause. This drawing is an examination how the gaze holds our attention and how the gaze of a child changes the way we think about the world of war. There is also the realisation in how conflict and war ages people beyond their years, making children act and look older than are are in reality.

The drawing is part of a series of works exploring conflict and war and the difference between those who are given guns to fight a cause and those who are given a plastic gun to pretend to fight a cause.

The drawing is constructed using Japanese Brush Pen and Pantone Colour Pens.
