A mind blossoming in a cherry tree...

Inspired by childhood memories of sitting in our apple tree amongst the white blossom, hidden from the world, with my head in a book.

This is a drypoint, a form of etching where the image is created by scratching directly onto the plate. Since no acid is needed, the metal isn't dissolved as on an etched plate, but is thrown up on each side of the line, creating a thicker, soft line. This wears down with each successive print, hence the small edition of 10 prints.

I've left ink or polished it off in areas to create the tone - this is the painterly mono printing part of the process. I've also hand-finished the print with watercolour. Each handcrafted print is unique and variable and numbered E.V (Edition Variable)

Orders are wrapped in acid-free tissue, flat-packed between two layers of board in a stiffened envelope and dispatched signed and tracked within four days.
