I wanted to do this in black and white to accentuate the contrast between the homeless man reading his book and the modern woman reading her phone.
A mixed media drawing / painting, with marker pen and acrylic on 84 x 59.5 cm A1 paper. This larger scale allows for more expressive lines, and the black and white contrast, both with the fine lines and dark brushes of acrylic adds an impact to the overall look, as well as the subject matter.
